Congratulations to Connor Stapleton, Rachel Johnson, and Zoe Malot.  These three Davis Water Polo Club athletes were recently selected for USA Water Polo’s 2010 Youth National Teams. Connor Stapleton was selected for the Men’s Youth National Team.  Rachel Johnson and Zoe Malot were selected for the Women’s Youth National Team.  Connor, Rachel, and Zoe are participating in the USA Water Polo’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) which serves as the primary feeder system for USA Water Polo’s Junior and Youth National Teams.  The foundation of the program is a systematic approach to athlete, coach and referee development through a year round training program that focuses on long term development.  DWPC has sixteen athletes on the ODP Central California Zone training teams.

Representing DWPC on the Central California Zone teams:

Boys 1992U team:  Trevor Allen, Paul Dailey, and Mark Ward.

Girls 1992U team:  Rachel Brooks, Elsie Fullerton, Michelle Greenough, and Keelia Houston.

Boys 1994U team:  David Lester, Dylan Osleger, and Connor Stapleton.

Girls 1994U team:  Haley Cameron, Kaitlyn Cozens, Rachel Johnson, Amanda Lilliedoll, Zoe Malot, and Lauren Owens.
